Volleyball Recap: Edwin O. Smith Takes a Loss

Edwin O. Smith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Glastonbury Guardians, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-11, 25-14.

Glastonbury was led to victory by Leah Mosca and Abby Kantor. Mosca had six digs and three aces, while Kantor had three digs and two aces. Lexi Marques also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Edwin O. Smith's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Glastonbury, they pushed their record up to 21-2-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Edwin O. Smith will face off against Tolland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Glastonbury, they will challenge Southington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
