Baseball Recap: North Gaston Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, North Gaston was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Crest Chargers by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Jackson Livingston was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

North Gaston's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Crest, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

While North Gaston had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
