Basketball Recap: Deep Run's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Deep Run entered their game against J.R. Tucker on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Deep Run Wildcats took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the J.R. Tucker Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Tigers are ranked 37th).

Deep Run's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8. As for J.R. Tucker, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Deep Run Wildcats challenge the Glen Allen Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for J.R. Tucker, they and Louisa County will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
