The High Tech SD Storm will take on the Orange Glen Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. High Tech SD is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
High Tech SD is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Kearny just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Komets.

Nano Acevedo was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of High Tech SD's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 8-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Izo Kobayashi, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Orange Glen ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Calvin Christian. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Orange Glen's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Garcia, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Those four hits gave Garcia a new career-high. Nicki Cardenas was another, going 2-for-5 with one run and one RBI.
Orange Glen's victory bumped their record up to 13-14. As for High Tech SD, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. High Tech SD has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Orange Glen struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
