Basketball Recap: Treutlen Vikings vs. Dooly County Bobcats
Treutlen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 41-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dooly County Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-33 back in December of 2025.
Dooly County found their leader in sophomore Ja'Kayla Hooks, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 24 rebounds. Hooks is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season. Cherish Sutton was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.
Treutlen's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Dooly County, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
Coming up, Treutlen will take on Wheeler County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dooly County, they will square off against Telfair County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' defense better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 56.3 points per game this season.
