Hickory's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-0. As for Statesville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hickory will take on North Iredell at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in North Iredell's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 13 games. Statesville won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against West Iredell at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. West Iredell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 594th, while Statesville is ranked 243rd).
