Football Game Preview: Harper Longhorns vs. Eldorado Eagles + How To Watch

The Harper Longhorns will challenge the Eldorado Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harper has given up an average of 30.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Harper is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Ozona on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Longhorns were dealt a 68-19 defeat at the hands of the Lions. The loss continues a trend for the Longhorns in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Eldorado made off with a 13-12 win over Miles.

Eldorado found their leader in sophomore Kane Brock, who rushed for 115 yards, and also caught one touchdown.

Eldorado didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brindon Gamez and Jonnierae Adame.

Harper's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Eldorado, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.

Harper ended up a good deal behind Eldorado in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, losing 30-13. Thankfully for the Longhorns, Jasi Galindo (who rushed for 113 yards and a pair of TDs, and also picked up 89 receiving yards and one score) won't be suiting up this time.
