Softball Game Preview: Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights vs. Springfield Tigers

The Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights will challenge the Springfield Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial didn't have quite enough to beat Le Sueur-Henderson and fell 5-4. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Springfield didn't have quite enough to beat Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove on Thursday and fell 9-7.

Springfield has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial fell to 9-1.
