Baseball Recap: Winneconne Gets the Win

Winneconne took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Xavier, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolves came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hawks on Thursday, sneaking past 4-3. The win was some much needed relief for the Wolves as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Noah Bouras was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dallas Walker, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Winneconne's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Xavier, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Coming up, Winneconne will take on Ripon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Xavier, they will head out on the road to take on Shawano Community at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
