Volleyball Recap: Oakwood's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday + How To Watch

Oakwood came into Tuesday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Schlarman Hilltoppers on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Comets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Oakwood easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-19.

Oakwood had a senior duo take command as Mady Nicoson had eight kills, three digs, and two aces and Kendyl Rogers had nine digs and five kills. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Hart, who had ten digs and one assist.

Despite the loss, Schlarman still got an impressive performance from Irene Rangel, who had 16 digs and four assists.

Oakwood's win bumped their record up to 6-19. As for Schlarman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Oakwood has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Fisher on the 28th. Schlarman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
