After a string of ten wins, Leipsic's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against the Russia Raiders, falling 3-0.

While Leipsic was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-24, 25-22.

Danaysia Danzy paced Leipsic's offense, picking up 24 kills. Danzy got some help from Karmyn Brough and her 33 assists. Kya Brandt controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Leading Russia to victory were Kourtney Phlipot and Violet Armstrong. Phlipot had 14 digs and three assists, while Armstrong had 11 digs and two aces. Armstrong has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Leipsic's loss dropped their record down to 24-2. As for Russia, their victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-6.

Leipsic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Russia, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Fort Loramie on the 1st.
