Baseball Recap: Holland Comes Up Short

Holland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Spring Lake Lakers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 on Monday.

Tanner Kingery made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Holland's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Spring Lake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 27-3.

While Holland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
