Basketball Recap: Commerce Comes Up Short

Commerce suffered their biggest loss since December 28, 2024 on Thursday. They took a blow against the Edgewood Bulldogs, falling 73-31. The Tigers lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 55-48 score last time.

Commerce's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Edgewood, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Commerce didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-37 victory against Scurry-Rosser on the 5th. As for Edgewood, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Lone Oak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
