Basketball Game Preview: Indian Creek Redskins vs. River View Black Bears

The Indian Creek Redskins will be taking part in a tournament against the River View Black Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Monday, Indian Creek was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 45-40 to John Marshall. While losing is never fun, the Redskins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 180th in Ohio, while the Monarchs are ranked 21st in West Virginia).

Meanwhile, River View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. The match between them and Crooksville didn't end well, with River View falling 52-35.

Indian Creek's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for River View, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-17.

Everything came up roses for Indian Creek against River View in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 57-11 victory. Does Indian Creek have another victory up their sleeve, or will River View turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
