Basketball Game Preview: Northwest Christian School Crusaders vs. Kettle Falls Bulldogs

Northwest Christian School is 10-0 against Kettle Falls since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Northwest Christian School Crusaders are taking a road trip to challenge the Kettle Falls Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Northwest Christian School knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Kettle Falls likes a good challenge.

Northwest Christian School took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Chewelah with a sharp 68-48 victory. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Avi West continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 13 of 20 on his way to 38 points. His afternoon made it 29 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Slade, who made all 5 shots he took for 12 points.

Meanwhile, Kettle Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-36 heartbreaker at the hands of Newport.

Northwest Christian School has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Kettle Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Everything came up roses for Northwest Christian School against Kettle Falls in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 63-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northwest Christian School since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
