Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Notre Dame, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They never let the Ritchie County Rebels get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. For the Fighting Irish, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 win the Rebels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Notre Dame saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dominick Bombardiere, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Britain Hill also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The victory got Notre Dame back to even at 2-2. As for Ritchie County, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will host Grafton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Notre Dame's pitchers better be ready for this one: Grafton has averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season. As for Ritchie County, they will welcome Philip Barbour at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
