To be truly dominant, you have to do it for an extended period of time. That's how Huthinson rolls and why the Salt Hawks are Kansas' most dominant football program since MaxPreps became America's source for high school sports in 2006. Ranked every year except one in the past 11 years — Check. Five state titles — Check. Two runner-up finishes — Check. That's a checklist of domination that equals 310 points in our system of ranking programs.

Blue Valley (Stilwell), Bishop Carroll, Bishop Meige and Silver Lake also proved their mettle in rounding out the Sunflower State's Top 5.

Here is how the points break down:

1. 20 for a state title

2. 10 for state championship game appearance

3. Other points are based on where a team finished in the final MaxPreps Kansas Football Computer Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. For example, if a team finished No. 1 overall, it would receive 25 points. If it finished 25th overall, the team would get one point. No points are awarded if the team did not finish in the Top 25.
