Basketball Game Preview: East Wake Warriors vs. Fike Demons

East Wake is 7-1 against Fike since November of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The East Wake Warriors will head out to take on the Fike Demons at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Fike is hoping to do what Hunt couldn't on Thursday: put an end to East Wake's winning streak, which now stands at four games. East Wake strolled past Hunt with points to spare, taking the game 61-44. The score was all tied up 25-25 at the break, but East Wake was the better team in the second half.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Wake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amere Hall, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 15 points in addition to eight assists and six boards. Hall has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Corban Woodard, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 10 points and five steals.

Hall wasn't the only one working in the assists department: East Wake was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hunt only racked up five assists.

Meanwhile, Fike hadn't done well against C.B. Aycock recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Fike came out on top against C.B. Aycock by a score of 67-56. The 67-point effort marked the Demons' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

East Wake is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Fike, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

East Wake strolled past Fike in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 60-46. Does East Wake have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fike turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
