Basketball Recap: enCompass Academy Takes a Loss

EnCompass Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 36-1 loss at the hands of the Incline Highlanders. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Explorers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-9 last Saturday.

EnCompass Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Incline, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.

EnCompass Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sage Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on January 15, 2025. As for Incline, they will head out on the road to take on North Tahoe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Incline's defense has only allowed 22 points per game this season, so North Tahoe's offense will have their work cut out for them.
