Softball Recap: Queensbury Takes a Loss

After flying high against Broadalbin-Perth last Friday, Queensbury came back down to earth. The Spartans fell just short of the Hudson Falls Tigers by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Queensbury saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Norah Hunt, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Queensbury's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Hudson Falls, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Queensbury will square off against rival Amsterdam at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hudson Falls is set to take on their familiar foe Schuylerville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
