            Baseball Recap: New Glarus Glarner Knights vs. Lancaster Flying Arrows        
        
		
        
        
            New Glarus couldn't beat Lancaster  on Friday even though they stacked six runs on them in the sixth inning. The Glarner Knights fell just short of the Flying Arrows by a score of  10-9. The Glarner Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Flying Arrows apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in May of 2024.
 Brock Roth and  Nolan Julseth were huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. Throwing,  Roth   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. Meanwhile,  Julseth   struck out six batters over  4.1 innings while giving up just two earned  (and six unearned) runs off   eight  hits (and only one walk). Roth has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in four consecutive appearances. At bat,  Roth  went 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI, while  Julseth  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Ethan Colstad made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double.  Matthew Roth was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
New Glarus' record is now 9-6. As for Lancaster,  the  win snapped their losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 7-9 record.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Glarus will take on Dodgeville at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Lancaster, they will challenge Southwestern at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
