Football Game Preview: Eagleville Eagles vs. Moore County Raiders + How To Watch

The Eagleville Eagles will take on the Moore County Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Eagleville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 34 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Richland on Friday. They were dealt a 37-7 loss at the hands of the Raiders. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Moore County was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 35-19 bruising from Huntland. Raiders fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Hornets since last Friday.

Loss or not, Moore County got some senior leadership from Isaac Petty and Cole Taylor. Petty rushed for 57 yards and one touchdown, while Taylor picked up 92 receiving yards and one TD. Tristyn Gray got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Moore County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Eagleville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Eagleville couldn't quite get it done against Moore County in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 as they fell 21-14. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
