Softball Recap: Bad Axe Has No Trouble Against Vassar

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bad Axe). They were the clear victors by a 19-7 margin over the Vassar Vulcans on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Bad Axe's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Vassar, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Bad Axe will challenge Marlette at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Vassar, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Memphis at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
