Basketball Recap: California Lutheran's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home + How To Watch

California Lutheran dropped to 2-2 on Thursday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They took a 65-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers. The C-Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rangers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Despite the defeat, California Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyler Treder dropped a double-double with 38 points and 19 boards. Treder's big performance that afternoon made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Ezra Seow was another key player, putting up 11 points.

As for Santa Rosa Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 66.6 points this season.

Santa Rosa Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Christian Gonzalez out in front who shot 48% from the field en route to 22 points and four steals. The last time Gonzalez's shooting accuracy was this high was back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mycah Mason, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds.
