Softball Recap: Benicia Comes Up Short

Benicia lost against Livermore back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell 9-5 to the Cowboys.

Ava Rojas made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Benicia's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Livermore, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Benicia will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Alhambra at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Livermore, they will head out to face off against San Ramon Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last eight games the Wolves have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
