Basketball Recap: Salem Takes a Loss

Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Paoli Rams and fell 71-44. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Rams are ranked 76th).

Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Paoli, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salem will square off against Clarksville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Paoli, they will venture away from home to challenge Orleans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Orleans sitting on nine straight wins and Paoli on three.
