Volleyball Recap: North Cobb Warriors vs. West Forsyth Wolverines
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Cobb had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the West Forsyth Wolverines. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 loss the Wolverines walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 24-26, 25-21, 25-23.
North Cobb was led to victory by Hannah Nicholson and Jenesys Moctezuma. Nicholson had 21 digs, while Moctezuma had 19 digs.
Despite the loss, West Forsyth still got an impressive performance from Adeline Wieler, who had 35 digs. Wieler is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
North Cobb's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 33-15. As for West Forsyth, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 27-14.
North Cobb's road trip will continue as they head out to face Walton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Walton will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something North Cobb surely won't give up without a fight. West Forsyth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
