Baseball Recap: Kohler Has No Trouble Against Sheboygan Area Lutheran

While Kohler put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Sheboygan Area Lutheran. The Blue Bombers blew past the Crusaders 10-0. The Blue Bombers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

Nolan Kading made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Collin Thorne was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Kohler is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Sheboygan Area Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Coming up, Kohler will face off against Oostburg at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
