Volleyball Recap: Atlantic Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Forest Hill, Atlantic was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Lake Worth Trojans by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Atlantic was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 26-28, 25-16.

Julianna Iaccovone was nothing short of spectacular: she had nine aces and four digs. Those nine aces gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bianca Valladares, who had seven aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Atlantic was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 35 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Atlantic's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Lake Worth, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Coming up, Atlantic will head out to challenge Santaluces at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake Worth, they will venture away from home to square off against Leonard at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
