Softball Recap: Horatio Extends Road Winning Streak to Nine

While Horatio's win against Junction City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Horatio Lions skirted past the Junction City Dragons 7-5. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won five in a row.

Horatio's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Junction City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Horatio wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 11-7 loss against Carlisle on the 8th. As for Junction City, they will take on Harmony Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
