Hilbert posted their closest win since April 8, 2025 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Mary Catholic Zephyrs, sneaking past 9-8. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Zephyrs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.
Max Schneider was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. Brody Hein was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
With the win, Hilbert broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4. As for St. Mary Catholic, they now also have a losing record of 3-4.
