Softball Preview: North Newton Spartans vs. Tri-County Cavaliers

North Newton is 5-0 against Tri-County since May of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The North Newton Spartans will head out on the road to take on the Tri-County Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North Newton comes in on seven and Tri-County on 11.

In what's become a running theme this season, North Newton gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They blew past Washington Township 17-2. While fans of North Newton might be used to big wins, the 15-run margin marked the team's biggest one yet.

Cheyann Cahill was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Riley Higgins, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and a double.
