Volleyball Recap: Conemaugh Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Conemaugh Valley had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped down to 1-3 to make it four. They lost 3-0 to the Portage Mustangs. The Blue Jays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Conemaugh Valley lost, don't look at Madison Mccleester. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs. Mccleester is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season.

As for Portage, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2. The match marked their most dominant win of the season so far.

Portage was led to victory by Kylie Hess and Johanna Noel. Hess had 19 digs, while Noel had six digs. The dominant performance also gave Hess a new career-high in kills (two).

Conemaugh Valley has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Conemaugh Township on the 9th. As for Portage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Windber on the 8th.
