Baseball Recap: Tunstall Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Tunstall dropped their record down to 11-3 on Monday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home. They lost 11-0 to the Halifax County Comets. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Halifax County, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. They haven't had any issues with Tunstall recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

For Halifax County's part, Logan Clark made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Clark has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Carter Thomasson and Jay Farmer did most of the damage at the plate: Thomasson got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Farmer went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The Warriors will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Comets surely won't give up without a fight.
