Cross had won four straight at home, but  on Friday they bumped up to 9-1 to make it five. They claimed a resounding  34-0 win over the Baptist Hill Bobcats. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by 24  points or more this season.
 Mah'Ky Green continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 197 yards and a pair of  TDs on only 15 carries, while also catching one  score. Those  197  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cross was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 297  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 162  rushing yards in six consecutive  games.
 Another reason for the win was Cross' imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Baptist Hill's QB  won't forget  Jailyn Broughton anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Broughton also set a new season-high mark in  total tackles with ten. Cross got some further help from  William Grant: he picked up  a  sack, forced one fumble,  and made seven total tackles.
As for Baptist Hill,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-4. The defensive woes were  uncharacteristic for they, who until this  contest were averaging 14.3  points allowed.
 When it comes to explaining why Baptist Hill lost, don't look at  Brayden Franklin. Despite the final result, he threw for 188 yards  on 12 of 18 attempts, and also rushed for 62 yards on only six carries.
 Cross does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Baptist Hill, they will head out to  face off against Latta  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
