Baseball Recap: Vista Del Lago Extends Winning Streak to Three

Vista del Lago took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Woodcreek, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Vista del Lago had just enough and edged out Woodcreek 5-4. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

Carson Kocina looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Tyler Bolyard was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Wait, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Vista del Lago's record is now 10-5. As for Woodcreek, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Vista del Lago will have a chance to go back-to-back against Woodcreek: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
