Baseball Recap: MacArthur Takes a Loss

MacArthur fell victim to Wagner and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Wagner Thunderbirds by a score of 1-0. The loss was the Brahmas' first of the season.

Wagner's batters probably weren't too happy with Ivan Castillo, who pitched a no hitter (he gave up two walks).

On the hitting side, MacArthur saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was J.T. Gray, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Andrew Moneer also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, MacArthur fell to 3-1. As for Wagner, they moved to 1-3 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, MacArthur will be taking part in a tournament against Vandegrift at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wagner, they will take on Victoria East in a tournament on Friday. Wagner's hittershaven't had much luck over their past four matchups, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.
