Volleyball Recap: Indian Creek Falls to Buckeye Trail in First Game of Season

Indian Creek had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Buckeye Trail Warriors. The defeat continues a trend for the Redskins in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-13, 25-17.

Cara Vandeborne paced Indian Creek's offense, picking up five kills. Vandeborne got some help from Gabby Taylor and her eight assists. Vandeborne also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with TyLee Spencer, racking up two apiece.

Indian Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Buckeye Local on the 19th. As for Buckeye Trail, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Fort Frye at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
