Volleyball Recap: Sheldon Takes a Loss

Sheldon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the River Valley Falcons, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

While Sheldon ultimately came up short, they really made River Valley work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-14, 25-18.

Sheldon's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for River Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

Sheldon will head out to take on Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. River Valley has already played their next contest (against Lindhurst), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
