Volleyball Recap: Long Beach Poly Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Long Beach Poly was the 3-0 winner over Mira Costa when they last played one another back in October of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Jackrabbits took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs on Friday.

Long Beach Poly was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22.

Long Beach Poly's loss ended a seven-match streak of away wins and brought them to 21-7. As for Mira Costa, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-7.

Coincidentally, Long Beach Poly and Mira Costa will both be playing Centennial the next time they take the court. The Jackrabbits will head out to face the Golden Hawks at 5:35 p.m. on Friday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
