Basketball Game Preview: Wilmington Greyhounds vs. Conneaut Area Eagles

The Wilmington Greyhounds will challenge the Conneaut Area Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Wilmington is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Kennedy Catholic just ended the team's 12-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against Kennedy Catholic, falling 67-42. The match marked the Greyhounds' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Conneaut Area had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They strolled past the Rockets with points to spare, taking the game 69-50.

Conneaut Area pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Wilmington, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-1.
