Soccer Game Preview: Hilliard vs. Yulee

Hilliard hasn't had much luck against Yulee recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Red Flashes will be taking part in a tournament against the Hornets at 3:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Hilliard is headed into their contest with Yulee looking for a result a bit more satisfying than what they got in their season opener against Baker County on Thursday. Neither the Red Flashes nor the Wildcats could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Yulee had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 8-0 to Stanton. The defeat continues a trend for Yulee in their meetings with Stanton: they've now lost five in a row.

Hilliard might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Yulee when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Red Flashes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
