Basketball Recap: Jhordan Chaffin Key Part of Team Effort in Wolverines Win

After losing to White Station the last time they met, Overton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Overton Wolverines narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the White Station Spartans 58-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolverines have posted since January 6, 2024.

Overton's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jhordan Chaffin, who went 8-for-12 on his way to 19 points and five boards. Those five rebounds gave Chaffin a new career-high. Kevin Gladney was another key player, going 8-for-14 to rack up 15 points and six boards.

Overton's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for White Station, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.
