Football Recap: Coral Academy of Science - Reno Starts Season with Victory Against White Pine

Coral Academy of Science - Reno took care of business in their home opener on Saturday. They took down the White Pine Bobcats 25-8. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 53-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Coral Academy of Science - Reno was led to victory by Santiago Gonzalez and Jackson Schnitzius. Gonzalez gained 92 total yards and two touchdowns, while Schnitzius picked up 16 receiving yards and one score. Gonzalez was even better on defense, picking up a sack and making four total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coral Academy of Science - Reno will venture away from home to take on GV Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for White Pine, they will head out to challenge Battle Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
