Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Soledad walked away with it. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 55-54 victory over the Live Oak Acorns. This was a revenge game for the Aztecs: when they faced off against the Acorns back in November of 2024, they had to take a 52-50 defeat.

Pedro Morales Jr was nothing short of spectacular: he posted 24 points and five boards. Those 24 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Pablo Morales Iv, who scored 17 points.

Despite the loss, Live Oak still got an impressive performance from Nathan Lozano, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Riley Murrill was another key player, putting up eight points and 12 boards.

Soledad is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points over those games. Live Oak's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-14.

Soledad wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-47 defeat against El Camino on the 22nd. Live Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
