Recap: Triumph Charter Jaguars vs. Community Charter Titans
In what's become a running theme this season, the Triumph Charter Jaguars gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They breezed by Community Charter on the road to the tune of 67-39. With Triumph Charter ahead 43-17 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Triumph Charter found their leader in underclassman Antonio Garcia III, who scored 22 points. Garcia III is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Oswaldo Araiza was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Jefferson Barahona and Misael Davila certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Barahona scored 11 points, while Davila scored ten points.
Triumph Charter has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Community Charter, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7.
Triumph Charter won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bert Corona Charter at 4:00 p.m. on January 11th. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Bert Corona Charter has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Triumph Charter will arrive with four straight victories. As for Community Charter, they will head out on the road to square off against Valley Oaks CES at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley Oaks CES is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
