Soccer Recap: Anna-Jonesboro Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Anna-Jonesboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Massac County Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Massac County this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in September.

Ethan Plott and Logan Pearl scored both of Anna-Jonesboro's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 30 goals.

Anna-Jonesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Massac County, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2-2.

Anna-Jonesboro will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Freeburg at 7:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Massac County, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Centralia on the 11th.
