Recap: Portville Panthers vs. Randolph Cardinals

The Portville Panthers lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Monday was a bit more commanding. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 56-31 walloping at the hands of Randolph. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Portville has scored all season.

Skylar Herington continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Randolph, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. Herington is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Steward, who scored 11 points along with two steals and two blocks.

Portville are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-3. As for Randolph, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Portville will square off against the Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Frewsburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 503 points over their last seven games. As for Randolph, they will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cassadaga Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Cardinals are ranked 96th).
