Baseball Game Preview: Smithville Tigers vs. Navasota Rattlers

For the second straight game, Smithville will face off against Navasota. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Smithville took a 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Navasota, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers skirted past the Rattlers 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since March 8th.

For Navasota's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cash Fox, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI. Another was Evan Otto, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Smithville's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Navasota, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.
