Soccer Recap: Appleton North Comes Up Short

Appleton North lost against Neenah back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lightning lost 4-1 to the Rockets. While losing is never fun, Appleton North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Neenah are ranked tenth).

Appleton North's goal came courtesy of Evan Apostolou, who's now up to four this season.

Appleton North now has a losing record of 6-7-2. As for Neenah, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-0-3 record this season.

Appleton North has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Stevens Point on the 11th. As for Neenah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against D.C. Everest on the 11th.
